The Windmill presents:
Saint Leonard, Human Interest, Sweat, Wildwood Daddy
Entry Requirements: 18+
Saint Leonard, the rising lyrical dream-pop art rocker, is back with a new album that promises to be a mesmerizing and at times, veil of maya lifting experience. Having set out on a dedicated psycho-spiritual journey, Leonard has distilled his experiences into a new sound that explores innerspace, outerspace, and every state of mind and dimension in between.
Leonard's previous album, 'Good Luck Everybody,' was recorded in the mysterious location of Stanley Kubrick's former estate outside of London and was met with wide critical acclaim. He toured across the UK and Europe, supporting artists such as Patti Smith, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, and Father John Misty. The album received warm radio support from BBC 6 Music with Tom Robinson describing it as ‘Brilliant, radically adventurous music from an extraordinarily talented artist’ Q magazine awarding it 4 stars and the NME declaring it ‘a surrealist, mystical odyssey of self-discovery, maximal hedonism and Jaws of death revelation’
On August 1st 2023, Leonard will release 'Tell Me The Truth' the first of three 'Full Moon Singles' The album is informed by his travels to India, audiences with spiritual leaders, and wild nights in hotel rooms in Berlin. From reckoning with Californian cults in a Shiva temple in Rishikesh to reading extracts from his novel to an audience of the Berlin art-scene, the new album 'The Golden Hour,' (which will be released early next year), promises to be a genre-bending blend of electronic, Indie & alt rock with intricate and esoteric sonic elements that will captivate listeners. The track features members of the Fat White Family who collaborated with Leonard on this album.
With his unique sound and captivating storytelling, Saint Leonard is a modern-day musical expeditionary, taking his listeners on a journey through all the known unknowns and lesser explored realms of the human experience. Join him on a jazz-post-rock-electronica genre-defying artefact of Berlin-London hard-living and high-weirdness. It will leave you gasping to hear more of the startling new direction of this Saint Leonard album.
