The BAD FRIDAY ALL-DAYER returns with a killer line up, featuring Public Body, Hadda Be, Total Luck, Man/Woman/Chainsaw, The New Eves, Dog Race, Pop Vulture & Red Ivory

PUBLIC BODY

Creating twitchy, sharp-witted art-rock in the vein of Uranium Club, Brainiac and early DEVO, Brighton’s Public Body have quickly marked themselves out as a vital, exciting new prospect in UK guitar music. Hotly-tipped by tastemakers such as BBC 6Music’s Steve Lamacq and BBC Radio 1’s Jack Saunders, DIY, the 5-piece make light of lethargy, neuroticism and boredom with playfully acerbic and riotously fun post-punk.

HADDA BE

Post punk infected stomps and melancholic indie pop. Latest single, Mercurial, exhibits the darker edges of the band’s sound, pointing towards the direction of their sophomore album, which is currently in production.

TOTAL LUCK

Birmingham’s Total Luck combine the minimalism and harshness of No Wave with the fast and chaotic thrash of Hardcore.

Man/Woman/Chainsaw

They affectionately describe their music as "noisy noise" .

THE NEW EVES

Brighton quartet who have been labelled as one of the country’s most spellbinding new bands. Expect a ritualistic mash-up of folksong, yelping punk and mesmeric drone.

DOG RACE

Dog Race believe in the power of patience, having built a feverous word of mouth buzz locally and for a series of mysterious, often last-minute DIY shows across London.

POP VULTURE

Emerging from the vibrant Leeds DIY music scene, Pop Vulture wield influences from the dissonance of the No-Wave movement and the unconventionality of post-punk and drape them over tightly-wound grooves. All of this simmers away underneath stream-of-consciousness narrative themes, often of mental health and the relentlessness of living.

They have received support from BBC Music, in the form of plays from Steve Lamacq on Radio 6 Music, Emily Pilbeam and Jericho Keys on BBC Introducing, and a packed-out show on the BBC Introducing stage at Live at Leeds this year.

RED IVORY

An indie rock band from South East London, formed just over a year ago. This past year has seen the release of their debut EP “Facade” and follow-up single “Answers”, which was released on the 26th January 2023 and aired on BBC introducing in London. Having been compared to The Breeders and Throwing Muses, they draw inspiration from a wide range of rock and alternative music, with strong drums, bass and catchy riffs accompanied by melodic vocals.
