The Windmill presents:
Dos Monos (Japan) + Nukuluk + YINYANG
Entry Requirements: 18+
Tokyo based experimental hip hop trio Dos Monos summon excitement with some truly unusual alchemy. Consisting of producer / rapper Zo Zhit and rappers TaiTan and Botsu AKA NGS, the building blocks of their style balance the dissonance and cacophony of some very un-smooth, uncool jazz with hyperactive verse trading between their three members.
The results have quickly made them a mainstay of festivals around Japan and Europe and even landed them a miniseries on Japanese cable television in which they both starred and scored all the music.
After the release of a few singles, Dos Monos dropped their debut album ‘Dos City’ in 2019 on Deathbomb Arc (home to other hip hop acts such as JPEGMAFIA, clipping., and SB The Moor) in America and on BPM Tokyo in Japan.
Since then they have worked with people such as Injury Reserve, Black Midi and Taiwan digital minister Audrey Tang.
They are planning new releases late 2022, their first projects since last year’s single “OBO”.
NUKULUK - Nukuluk is an experimental hip-hop / electronica collective based in South London. Their chaotic sound draws off a series of eureka moments during studio play, a broad church of influence and a symbiotic relationship within the group. Alien field recordings, warped bass drones and clattering percussion create otherworldly production landscapes, stages on which vocalists Syd and Monika can battle it out.
YINYANG - alternaive hiphop straight outta Ballymena
