The Windmill presents:

Trashmouth Records Xmas Bash: Madonnatron + many more

Madonnatron + Pit Ponies + Chupa Cabra + No Friendz + Luxury Dad + Peter Harris

The Windmill, London Fri, Dec 15, 2017 8:00 PM

£5

Entry Requirements: 18+

South-London based Trashmouth Records throw their annual messy Xmas party with the. best new bands on the label.

MADONNATRON

MADONNATRON, by their own admission, started out with pretty low expectations (given that none of them could actually play their instruments). But, like label-mates Fat White Family & Meatraffle, it hasn’t stopped them rapidly becoming one of the standout bands of this so-called “South London scene” that some people are talking about.

They performed a live session on Marc Riley’s 6 Music show, toured with The Moonlandingz & with Meatraffle & have some real nice festival slots coming in for the summer. . .

Madonnatron's self-titled debut album was released in July 2017 on Trashmouth records.

PIT PONIES

Purveyors of “Upminster Soul” they single handedly put paid to the myth that there are no working class bands left in the UK.

Creating their world in the upper floors of a neighbour-less Upminster charity shop with no one else around to complain about the noise, they have been a close part of the Trashmouth family from the start and a regular feature at The Fat White Family’s legendary “Slide In” nights & a John Kennedy favourite playing his club nights & live sessions on XMusic

Fronted by the larger than life Euan Hartley, who stands 6 foot 6 inches tall and has a turn of phrase and delivery to match his stature, they have a directness, honesty and simplicity that seems absent from so much of today’s music…

'Chupa Cabra are pure, pogoing garage-punk pandemonium.' - Gigslutz

"Raw and melodic; spitting out the kinds of thrills that define live music. You might even want to punch something." - SNOG Magazine

"If I had a record label, this'd be the first 7". I'd beg Casey Raymond or Alan Holmes to do a sleeve. It'd be on puke coloured vinyl. You'd get a free polaroid of a placenta with the first 50 copies. Hand numbered. I'd play it in Telfords and clear the building. Lauren Laverne's producer would ask if there was a mastered version. "You can't master filth," would be my asshole reply." - Adam Walton, BBC Radio Wales

"Raw-nerve, skinned-knee rock'n'roll" - The Line of Best Fit magazine
