Formed in 2015, HVP feature musicians from a number of lesser known London-based punk and metal bands (OiZ II Men, Sepuku, Ad Undas) playing nasty, thrashing punk 'n' roll.
Lady Bird
Lady Bird Hailing from what they call the velvet trench of Tunbridge Wells, Lady Bird look set to excite audiences with an eloquent twist on punk. The boys smirk about the stagnant charm of their home town. 'It doesn't go anywhere,' says Joe (drummer), 'It's solid ground.' Fronting the three piece is Don Rennols. His lipstick clad geezy front might explain the band's name. The self-dubbed king-of-the-riff-raff admits he's always been a show off, 'ever since ever!' There's a comic behind the wit.
When asked about interests and inspirations Alex (guitarist) says, 'Between us we've played a lot of styles and our tastes cover too much to box, but together I think we put out a sound that nods to punk and maybe uk hip hop primarily. I guess they're linked on some level by attitude.'
They sit holding hands, seemingly committed to sharing a grin.
Pizzatramp
Pizzatramp are a horrible three piece three chord old school skate thrash punk band from South Wales, specializing in two minute blasts of noise. With a rabid following, brand new EP and a thirst for beer they're ready to tear up a venue near you soon
Ships Down
Melodic hardcore from London.
The Domestics
A hybrid of US hardcore (OUT COLD, CIRCLE JERKS, BLACK FLAG, POISON IDEA, LIMP WRIST), classic UK stuff like DISCHARGE, CHAOS UK etc, and a touch of Japanese hardcore (GAUZE, WARHEAD etc) - all stuck in a blender and spewed out into anthemic d-beat/hardcore/punk tunes for shouting along to.

Simon Wells is the SOUL man! One of the best songwriters around! If you don't know Si's work check out Southport and early Snuff.
Carol Hodge
Possibly the most infamous seven fingered pianist in the UK, Carol Hodge is probably best known as the woman who sang alongside Steve Ignorant (once of Crass) on his Last Supper world tour. She now sings with Steve in the new acoustic project Slice of Life.
Touring the world singing the songs of Crass gave Carol the confidence she needed to finally spread her gnarled yet unique solo wings.
