The Windmill presents:
Phobophobes/Sweat/Will Sin For Love and more
Phobophobes + Sweat + Pleasure Complex + The Starlight Magic Hour + Will Sin For Love
Entry Requirements: 18+
PHOBOPHOBES
‘Dirty, gritty psychedelia, the band match the low-slung growl of The Birthday Party, say, to the organ-wash of The Seeds.’ Clash Magazine
‘…a burbling swamp of acidic organ, bad-trip vocals and lacerating guitars’ - Q MAGAZINE

SWEAT
Stripped-down two-piece set. Dark pop from Peckham.

PLEASURE COMPLEX

*THE STARLIGHT MAGIC HOUR * They may have a name like a children’s TV programme but don’t expect anything child friendly from this lot. Having only been together for several months The Starlight Magic Hour have already managed to craft a distinctive sound, pointing towards such a myriad of genres it’s truly indefinable. All conventions are thrown out of the window with this 7-piece; you really don’t know where each song is going next. Provocatively dark lyrics, warped rhythmical clunks and jarring Lou Reed-esque yelps define their unique style. Live shows are a hectic blend of human honesty and acute soundscapes that leaves you wanting more.

Sweat
Dark pop from Peckham. Debut single "Be Complete" came out in Dec '15 and earned them the New Music Of The Day slot on NME and airplay from the ever-tasteful John Kennedy at Radio X. https://www.facebook.com/sweat8 https://soundcloud.com/sweat-8/be-complete
