Line Up
Joy-Rides
Joy-Rides is named after the travel sickness pills, not anything else. (Joy-Rides may cause drowsiness, dizziness, confusion and blurred vision.)
“Creepy and rather Brilliant.” – Loud & Quiet Magazine.
Joy-Rides first gig was in June 2005. In June 2005 a Volna booster rocket carrying the first light sail spacecraft (a joint Russian-United States project) fails 83 seconds after its launch, destroying the spacecraft.
Joy-Rides have a song about the Bishopof Southwark which you may have heard played on NTS Radio recently.
“You completely divided the crowd between those who were so moved they felt the need to tell me you were fucking brilliant, and those who were so repulsed they implored me to switch you off immediately. Surely the sign of a good act.” – Soundman at gig in post-gig email
Joy-Rides is theatre Joy-Rides is fun Joy-Rides is putting the mental into experimental Joy-Rides is shouting along Joy-Rides is energy and noise Joy-Rides is influence and peerlessness. Please enjoy this special gig with support from our more talented peers.
