CELLO SUNDAY is so back! After a few months, maybe a year away, we've resurrected it with Slow Cooked. so expect some interesting takes on this wonderful instrument.
SLOW COOKED - is the musical moniker of and band fronted by Louie Barby, an experimental cellist originally from Holmfirth, West Yorkshire. Described as an "xtreme cello xperience", Slow Cooked blends dramatic, looped stringscapes with a raw, punky energy.
PLATONICA EROTICA - genre-bending synth-pop that blends ambient textures with crafty lyricism.
ALEXANDER PAINTER - is a songwriter and composer based in Brighton, UK. He often uses experimental techniques, DIY technology and improvisation in his work, even building many of his own instruments - including a cello!
With influences ranging from the 70s New York experimental music scene to modal jazz to contemporary classical, pop and even black metal, Alex’s songs attempt to make sense of past and present.
A regular collaborator with acts including Orlando Weeks, Tony Njoku, Gazelle Twin, William Doyle and Anna B. Savage, Alex also composes music for film and TV.
