The Windmill presents:
Twine, Ropeburn, Ringlets
Entry Requirements: 18+
On a scale of 1-11 we're giving this one a 12.....Very excited about this.
TWINE (Australia) Known for their wounded country and barrelling noise rock, Naarm/Melbourne based Twine have returned tour their most excellent Deer in the Headlights EP.
ROPEBURN (Ireland/UK) Ropeburn is an alternative/slowcore/post-rock inspired quintet featuring trumpet and banjo. The band are based in London, but hail from both Ireland and the UK and includes members from Blood Wizard, Kissing on Camera, Baggio and Bog Band. Together they create fluid songs that spill into each other to make a cohesive and seamless set, with all members singing. Ropeburn pulls influences from artists including Caroline, Alex G and American Football.
RINGLETS (New Zealand) Ragingly bright post-punk quartet Ringlets emerge from Aotearoa’s musical ether carving out space with their distinct blend of delicate wit, grit and evident sonic technicality. With a highly durable, machine-tested rhythm section and two of Auckland’s leading lyrical & melodic consultants, Ringlets have been fast-building a solid reputation and totally deserving of the ‘Flying Nun Records’ alumni position it’s earned them.
