The Windmill presents:
New Music Mondays
Entry Requirements: 18+
We had a biggish band have to cancel their show tonight so we thought it's been a while since we did a New Music Monday - a night for new bands and new projects for you to check out for free.
Previous nights have spawned the likes of The Orchestra (For Now), Ebbb, Black Fondu, Ziplock, Charlemagne, Wing! and others now playing all round the city and beyond.
Thanks to everyone who answered the callout but in the end we think we've found four acts that while all sounding different fit into a semi-coherent evening of new music.
Acts are listed in alphabetical order with running order to be decided on the night so come down early to catch all four!
ASHAINE WHITE - solo set of work in progress material. Expect alternative soundscapes, storytelling and punk attitude with soulful vocals.
GLIMPSE - first outing for this band of accomplished players with electronics, guitars and a brilliant punkjazz drummer
HIDING - fuzzy, slacker Brixton-based quartet
LITTLE GRANDAD - a four piece, that has pulled influences from all over the place to create a nostalgic, sometimes cinematic soundscape. First London show.
