The BAD FRIDAY ALL-DAYER returns with a killer line up, featuring School Disco, Midnight Rodeo, The Family Battenberg, Velvetine, Hypsoline, The New Cut, Flip Beckmann & Skutterfly.

School Disco (Brighton) A Brighton institution. Searing psych rock full of perfectly developed hooks and seasoned jams. School Disco feel like an alter to the monoliths of Sabbath and Grateful Dead alike. No show is the same, but every show with School Disco is entirely unmissable. Catch them off the back of their latest record Denton Rock

Midnight Rodeo (Nottingham) Nottingham formed psychedelic art-pop sextet Midnight Rodeo broke out in 2022 with 3 singles on Brighton's Fat Cat Records. Their sound is unique in its combination of a powerful groove laden rhythm section, alongside jangly guitars, theremin-esque synths, booming organs all held together with the ethereal, honeyed vocals of frontwoman Maddy Chamberlain. Krauty & latin-esque grooves are juxtaposed with powerful psych-pop garage floor-fillers, hypnotic and chaotic in equal measure. The debut album is set for release Autumn 2024 and is currently being mixed by Grammy award winning mixing engineer Claudius Mittendorfer. The coveted latest single Thank You for Your Time is available on 7” via BandCamp and for streaming now.

The Family Battenberg (Cardiff) Self-produced four-piece garage-psych rock band based in Cardiff. Indulging in their DIY ethos, the band delivert their brand of 70s rock and roll flavoured guitar riffs amidst a blend of driving motorik rhythms, percussive flair and curious lyrical content.

Velvetine (London) Velvetine is a London-based alternative band. The five-piece blend their various influences of post-punk, art-rock, and shoegaze into gloomy and atmospheric alternative rock.

Hypsoline (Brighton) Friends since the awkward years of secondary school, Hypsoline have been muddling through life together, bringing their victories, hardships and heartbreaks to musical fruition since September 2019. Their influences include bands such as Wolf Alice, Warpaint, Savages and HAIM. The atmosphere at a Hypsoline gig is full of infectious energy, the band exuding raw emotions supported by rich harmonies, lush textures and punchy bass lines that leave the audience wanting more.

Flip Beckmann (London) Enter the world of Flip Beckmann: serving pure talent and total delusion. This underground crooner is the dishevelled creation of the former frontman of unsung legends Artificial Pleasure and Night Engine. It's slap dash chic, it's discount superstar, it's a mess. Basically, it's a lockdown project that got out of hand. Inspired by the likes of DAF, Suicide and Captain Beefheart, Beckmann's songs combine the pulsating thump of drum machines, doo wop harmonies and the klang of jagged guitars.

The New Cut (Bristol) Forming in early 2021, The New Cut is a Bristol / Brighton based alternative-rock 4-piece that deliver a rousing melancholia with a side of wry lyric. Since their pandemically curtailed inception, The New Cut have tabled a run of acclaimed releases to set out their stall; the louche and infectious 'The Family Business', quirk-pop bop of 'Stephen Gerrard Is My Dad' and bittersweet ache of 'Reclamation' revealing a band echoing the puckishness of Parquet Courts and the sweet solemnity of The Monchrome Set in equal measure

Skutterfly (London) A three-piece made up of Luda, Maia and Hana. Here to make your ear holes happy with a chaotic blend of melodic-punk-rock-grunge-whatever sounds.
