Line Up
Seafoxes
Intergalactic space folk...
"Seafoxes play a special brand of folk-inflected, intimate dream-pop, evoking the lush, soft sound of Espers with a fierce individuality and genuineness." Jamboree, July 2016
"Psychedelic-tinged folk-pop with wonderful vocal harmonies and strings, based in the former docklands of East London." Fred Perry Subculture, Jan 2017
Seafoxes is an all-female art-music collaboration based in the former docklands of East London. The members are a group of friends hailing from Norway, Scotland, England and Poland, who formed the band together in early 2015. Their music features ethereal vocal harmonies and bewitching violin instrumentals, while the exquisite artwork is influenced by the diverse topics covered in the song lyrics.
Their debut 6-track mini-album ‘It’s probably nothing, but…’ was released in July 2016. The songs on the EP were influenced by contempory social issues, such as mental health issues, government surveillance and our culture of excessive consumption.
In the past few years, Seafoxes have gigged extensively in London and have also played a number of music festivals in England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland. Recently, the band were selected by Fred Perry Subculture as one of the 'British New Wave' bands to watch out for in 2017. They are currently working on new material on the theme of Space exploration with a view to releasing their debut full-length album in early 2018.
