Line Up
James Brute
James Brute writes spooked out songs of love, loss and lust and delivers them in a heady mix of acid blues, doom-wop and rock n’roll.
“…a must see for anyone with a hankering for bleak-abilly blues.” – NME
Scab Hand
SCAB HAND is a new garage punk three piece emerging out of the Brighton underbelly.
Coming together at the tail end of 2016 they have been brewing away in a back street sweatbox to forge a squelching fuzz pot of squealing aural mayhem.
Mixing together the sordid concoction of former Love Buzzard (Fluffer / 1-2-3-4 Records) frontman and guitarist Kevin Lennon, former Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster and KRAK KRAK drummer Rob Ling and the deep rumblings of bassist Dan Stirrat to create the insatiable itch of Scab Hand.
Rat The Magnificent
Wine-based four piece power quartet from London.
Overlap the Jesus Lizard, Sally Bowles, MBV/Slint & Son House and you’re in the right borough.
And like all the good drinks, the whiskey, the coffee, you need balance in strength. Open-blasted guitars check primitive tradition and bleed into evangelical bass and reductive drum rhythms, providing a bed for Anderson to belie his vocals.
Rat the Magnificent is: Perry M. Anderson [Sunshine Republic, KLLR, Modern Men] Ian Catskilkin [Art Brut, Orco] Ross Davies [Brenda, The Feral Text, Modern Men] Anna Dodridge [DYWO]
Vienna Ditto
"Portishead doing a Tarantino soundtrack... This is great!" - Huw Stephens, Radio 1
"Vienna Ditto mix wild-eyed rockabilly riffs with sparse, atmospheric electronica." - Q Magazine
Bridport Dagger
“What happens when you write a song after drinking a bottle of Sailor Jerry, stagger into an all night tattoo parlor and leave with a topless girl in a martini glass etched over your heart” – N.M.E
Broken Soundtracks
Psych-tinged garage rock.
Mamzer
Oxford grunge quartet
